Let me present to some and introduce to others....K-Drama

They say "Hip Hop is Dead?" k-Drama's 5th release, BoomBaptism, is a direct retort to this question successively circulating today. BoomBaptism, according to k-Drama is, "the rebirth of creativity in Rap music." He believes it's not too late for rap music to be resuscitated and submitted to the Lord. This album inspires listeners to have confidence in the gift God has given them. "I'm encouraging listeners to seek God, not the world, for ideas to apply to their ministries," explains k-Drama, "God is limitless!"

k-Drama, born Anthony Regis Jones, has been immersed in ministry since 1998, starting at 14 years old. He's independently pushed 3 albums and his fourth, "Behind the Glory," was released by Holy Hip Hop/EMI Gospel September 2006. The past two years have been a whirlwind of engagement and opportunity for this young man. He has added, to his list of accomplishments, production credits in the likes of Flame, Lecrae, and R-Swift's album booklets; musical collaborations with ministerial moguls Canton Jones, DJ Morphiziz, and on compilations by Syntax Records and Holy Hip Hop. k-Drama has performed in events, Fla.vor Fest (Tampa, FL), Rapfest (New York), GMA week(Nashville, TN) and the Holy Hip Hop Awards (Atlanta, GA) where he was a 2008 honoree.

The highly anticipated, BoomBaptism, is expected to rent the stigma of gospel rap and bring a fresh perspective and quality to yearning ears. "Air Jordan," the first single of BB, has created a tidle wave of publicity. The message is simple, every believer has the ability through Christ Jesus to "Air Jordon," over the enemy(defense)! He has guest appearances from D-Maub, Dre Murray and R-Swift, to name a few; and production credits ranging from Tony Stone and Theory Hazit to Cephas and tracks done by k-Drama himself. This album invites your senses on a journey as we, "Act Out the King," shows us how to flee our earthly desires in, "Flying Away," and takes us through moments of reflection and worship in, "Hindsight." It's a must-have component to your musical collection, an accent for the ages.

Outside of music, k-Drama is heavily involved in his Cincinnati neighborhood, teaming up with churches to reach inner city youth. He's married to Charde', who is also featured on BoomBaptism. They have a 2 year old daughter Naima, a vivacious little girl with a lot to say! She holds a deep love for her daddy and his music, she's his biggest little fan. k-Drama's also involved in an initiative in his city, CeaseFire Cincinnati, to reduce gun violence.

John 1:3 - Through Jesus all things were made

"Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."
NIV Bible Version

In verse 3, the Apostle begins to discuss Jesus' creativity - all things were made through Him and nothing was made without Him. As God, Jesus was involved in every aspect of creation.

The Greek word for "made" is ginomai, from which we get the English word "genesis." It means to "to come into being, to happen, to become." God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit brought everything into being out of nothing.

Everything in the universe, from the stars to the planets to the trees to the animals, was originally spoken into being by God. And Jesus Christ, before He entered time and became a man, was alongside His Father in this act of creation.

Letter from Kelly Krammer (Missionary)/Please Support!

Bwana asifiwe! (Praise the Lord!)
I praise God that He has provided for me to come to such an amazing theological school that is equiping and training so many wonderful men and women of God who are truly world changers in the name of Jesus Christ!
***
I know that my God is a provider and so, right now, I am coming to you asking for help.
NEGST, as an institution, is suffering financially right now. I am not saying this to bring shame upon my great school, but rather to get the word out and ask for help. Furthermore, individual students are not being able to pay their school fees and some are going with little or no food for their families. Due to health regulations, we had to remove asbestos from the roofs, which was expensive. Due to the economy, it is hard to find jobs and even harder to find jobs that pay much. And due to the nature of school, it is difficult to have a job while one is studying. Many of our staff are going unpaid as of right now and many of the things we would like to do to further our learning and ministry are not going to be able to happen. This is just a small snapshot of the many problems facing us today.

There are so many wonderful people from all over the world at NEGST who are all here because of their calling by God. We are together in believing that God is good, He is loving, He cares about the needs of His people. I pray that you can find it in your heart to help us.
***
Here are just a few of the names, countries and callings of NEGST students:
Rachel- Malawi- teach adults to read so they may study their Bible
Eve- Kenya- evangelize and mentor young Muslim women
Karen- UK- medical missionary to Gambia- outreach to Muslims
Anson- India- ministry in Trebels
Duressa- Ethiopia- pastor to Ethiopian refugees in Kenya
Bridget- Kenya- mentor and raise up youth to own their faith and live it out
Haruna- Nigeria- Orphanage
Geleti- Ethiopia- preach, teach, pray and study
Aaron- US- Muslim outreach
Fabien- Rwanda- Evangelism
Lusato- Tanzania- equip men and women for missions in TZ
***
If you would like to help in anyway, please contact me at: kelly.krammer@gmail.com and we will figure out the best way for you to be a part of what God is doing at NEGST!
Thank you and God bless!

2 Cor 8:2-5
2Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. 5And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will.

Mike Tyson in scuffle at LA airport

By RAQUEL MARIA DILLON, Associated Press Writer Raquel Maria Dillon, Associated Press Writer – Thu Nov 12, 6:28 am ET
LOS ANGELES – Police are investigating conflicting accounts of an airport scuffle between Mike Tyson and photographer that resulted in both men being booked and released on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

The former heavyweight boxing champion and photographer Tony Echevarria, 50, want to press charges of misdemeanor battery against each other, police said.

The photographer told police that Tyson struck him once, airport police spokesman Sgt. Jim Holcomb said. The photographer fell to the ground and was treated for a cut to his forehead at a hospital.

Tyson's spokeswoman Tammy Brook said the boxer was traveling with his wife and 10-month-old child when he was attacked by an overly aggressive paparazzo. "Mike acted in self defense as a father protecting his child," she said.

"There's a lot of different versions to this story and that's all going to come out later," Holcomb said. "Some witness statements support Tyson's version, others support the photographer's."

Police also were checking if there was any surveillance video of the incident.

Tyson was cooperative as he waited in a holding cell at the airport police station, Holcomb said. Echevarria was booked and released after he was treated at a hospital, police said.

Holcomb said both men were released without any restrictions and free to go wherever they want. It wasn't immediately clear if Tyson had continued his trip.

Paparazzi often camp out at Los Angeles' largest airport to get shots of celebrities in transit.

"I've heard people were following him into the men's room and trying to take his picture there," said Tyson's defense attorney, David Chesnoff. "My advice to him is going to be to vigorously press charges against what everyone agrees are ridiculously aggressive photographers."

Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion ever in 1986 when he won his title as a 20-year-old. But his life since then has been marred by accusations of domestic violence, rape and cocaine use.

Tyson was convicted of rape in Indiana in 1992 and served three years in prison. He was disqualified from a 1997 heavyweight title fight when he bit off part of Evander Holyfield's right ear, and in 1999 he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault charges in Maryland.

In 2003, Tyson filed for Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He served 24 hours in an Arizona jail in 2007 after pleading guilty to cocaine possession and driving under the influence.

GTK interview with DaSouth.com

Daniel 2:44 “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed…and it shall stand for ever.”

Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX is known for The State Fair, the Cowboys (by default Jerry World goes hand in hand), and…. the Stanky Leg. Between that and other fading fad raps, there’s plenty of room for representation from solid, Kingdom- minded emcees with actual skill and content. One such candidate is known as GTK aka Grow The Kingdom, who is grinding his way into iPods across the nation. Here’s some insight from the man who is about the business of the eternal Kingdom of The Heavenly Father.

Kellus Hill: First off, I want to say that Dasouth and I appreciate you taking time to sit down with us. Off top, one of my favorite questions, who is Ricky Williams better known as GTK?

Grow The Kingdom: Thank you guys for reaching out! Ahh, let's see, Ricky Williams is a guy who came to know the Lord at a young age, raised in the church and around Christian values. Like some I was a "hearer" of the Word for most of my life but didn't become a "doer" until 2006. I enjoy studying the Word, I find it refreshing at times. I'm somewhat of a hip-hop head. I like to keep up with what's going on in the hip-hop community as a whole. I'm a huge football fan, Cowboys all day. Any given day you can catch me hoopin', hittin' the gym, and kickin' it with family and friends.

KH: Did you say Cowboys? I know I'm from Dallas too and everything but man! Romo is like bubblegum rap, overexposed with no valuable contributions. But back on subject, when did the Lord commission you to rap?

GTK: (Laughs) so true, both Romo and bubblegum rap, but we'll make the playoffs! It's funny because I use to write rhymes in high-school but never took it seriously. Freestyling in the lunchroom, at the mall, and at parties, but it was just something we did. During college rhymin' took a back seat and wow, now that I think about it I didn't write nor spit for at least 4 years. However, I love this question because it allows me to let you in on my testimony. I was called to the ministry in May 2006 and I remember it vividly. I was at work and I began to write a letter to God about what was on my heart and how there was a void in my life. The letter was in rhyme-format, now mind you I didn't have a clue about a "bar" or a "hook" or none of that. It was a 2 page letter/rhyme and it just so happened to be a full song. At that very moment God spoke to me and said "the same thing that I used to bring you back to me, I want you to use that very same thing to win others to me." That's why this is so special to me because my ministry began with my relationship with Him. Now that I've grown God has shown me that without a relationship there is no ministry. It's so much bigger than hip-hop because the majority of the rhymes I write are conversations with the Lord.

KH: I like that right there, "conversations with the Lord". Anyone who had heard "Decreased" can definitely relate to what you're saying without a doubt. Let me ask you another big question I like to ask. What church do you attend and in what capacity do you serve there?

GTK: My church home is Koinonia Church, 1151 Mansfield-Webb Rd., Arlington, TX...shout out!! My pastor, my mentor, my friend, and father-figure is Pastor Ronnie Goines. This guy has been so instrumental in my ministry and my walk. He was the first to give me a platform for the hip-hop ministry and is one of my biggest encouragers and supporters! Currently, I serve as one of the Young Adult Sunday School Leaders and Youth Leaders. I teach our youth bible study on Thursdays as well as our young adult Sunday school. It's awesome because it holds me accountable for studying and walking upright. I've been with the church since the early years and I've seen it grow from meeting at the boys and girls club to now having our own church, all in a 4 year period. God is doing some amazing things at this place and I'm glad to be a part of it.

KH: Amen, good to be able to let folk know cats serve the Body in so many ways other than music. What experience had you had with Christ- centered rhyming up to the point you started?

GTK: Before 2006 I never listened to any Christian rap. My mom once bought me a T-Bone CD in high school but I wasn't feeling it, mainly due to where I was at that time in my life. The first time I heard a dope Christian rhyme was at UNT when Lecrae spit at a talent show

KH: Oh, so you got to see Crae in the somewhat middle- early stages of his ministry, that's a good look. What does your discography look like and what inspired you through each project?

GTK: Yeah, dude’s heart been the same since the beginning. In 2007 I did the mixtape: "Rixtape Vol. 1", in 2008 it was "Decreased", and this year I dropped "Rixtape Vol. 2: Life Behind Bars hosted by DJ Vow". With Rixtape Vol. 1 I was green and still learning the studio, the booth, and recording. But it was the foundation for the ministry. My mentality was, the gospel is what I'm about, Christian emcees are dope, and we can spit with the best of 'em. With "Decreased" the title is from John 3:30 and it was so fitting because that is exactly what I wanted to do, decrease. After the mixtape I started to notice that after shows people were either complimenting me on the flow or comparing me to other emcees. It didn't seem like they knew the purpose in my heart so the message that I wanted to convey with "Decrease" (available now on iTunes) was, in the words of Trip Lee, "getcha eyes off me". Rixtape Vol. 2: Life Behind Bars was about everything in my life up to this point. Everything from my past, the ministry, my relationship with God, and emotions that I had been holding on to for a while. I just poured out my heart on that one. If you wanna know what's been going on with GTK up to now, you'll hear it on this mixtape.

KH: Already, I can get with the thought process that the Lord took you through on all those projects! Oh and who won the talent show Lecrae was in? One question that not many may know the details of, how did you get on with that Darrent Williams memorial?

GTK: Lecrae won if I'm not mistaken. Gospel or not, his flow was respected. With the Darrent Williams memorial parade I had previously worked with the coordinator for the event and she reached out to me to be a part of it. I think the entire city of Ft. Worth was out there. They're going to make it an annual event. He was well respected in the community and a family man from the stories I heard.

KH: That's big right there, definitely a great chance to impact the community. Yeah, I've heard the same thing about him, tragic loss for real. Give us a little bit of a recap of your experience at this year's Rap Fest. I know that really had to be a big move for you and the ministry the Lord has entrusted you with.

GTK: Oh wow, you have no idea! When I got the email that I was a confirmed artist I went crazy! I was already trippin' when I was selected to do Fla.vor Fest last year and earlier this year I was at the Sonshine Festival in MN, but Rap Fest?!? Bronx, NY?!? As you can see I'm easily excited, But for real it was a huge blessing. I got a chance to do the interview on Rap Fest Radio shout out to Brother E and Bert, true men of God with a heart for their community. The experience was awesome! I met a lot of guys that I respect in the hip-hop ministry like This'l, K-Drama, Humble-Tip and Katalyst. Even new emcees, at least to me anyway, like Refuge, C-Lite, and Wunda Fam. We were out in the open park, all on one accord reppin' Christ in the birth-place of hip-hop! I was so honored, definitely one of my highlights of the ministry!

KH: Let me ask you a question that is somewhat connected to the previous one. From your viewpoint, why is the DFW gospel rap scene as fractured and stagnant as it seems to be in comparison to other cities? Keep it real man! Don’t bite your tongue!

GTK: Good question. First, I don't think we rally around and support one another like we should. It's not to the extent of "every man for himself" but it's close. I know we have our own brothers that we're close with but I've seen actual cliques. I proposed to a marketing rep here who has done a lot of work in the DFW rap scene that we should send out a poll with 5 artist on it and just ask the question: Who could be the next breakout artist from DFW? Whoever gets the most votes let's get behind this emcee and push 'em like crazy. Secondly, and I’m just gonna lay it out there, sometimes I think it's due to a lack of talent. Rappin' ain't for everybody...period! I get CD's all the time and some I even pay for, but I only listen to about 20% of them. Whether we accept it or not we are artist. Which means we are in competition with the secular hip-hop scene, as well. Ministry is always going to be our heart, but we have to be mindful of how it's delivered as well.

KH: That would mean someone humbling themselves and serving their brother for the Kingdom's sake, you sure that would work? (removes toungue from cheek) Oh the talent thing is a definite factor. Amen, there's no way around it man. We have to provide a replacement, not an alternative, to what the world offers. Yeah serving has to be easy if He who created us decided to do it.

GTK: As far as us serving our brothers, it's not hard. That should be our heart anyway. Before I ever touched a stage I went to at least 10 shows and supported! Even now, I'm not in the green room waiting for my time to go up, I'm out in the crowd. Trust me bro my attitude has and always will be about support. Even when I did my interview with Rap Fest Radio Bert had to say, "okay man lets talk about you" (laughs). It's because I know I'm called so I'ma do me. When you're comfortable in your calling it makes supporting others a lot easier. It's heartbreaking when you see jealousy.

KH: Wow, that's saying something real big right there. That's something you just don’t hear enough of. Truth spoken, definitely Christ- like thinking there bro. Jealousy and pride go hand in hand, we gotta do better. Let me ask you this question since the percentage of quality you've heard seems low, what music are you listening to nowadays? That's regardless of genre.

GTK: Right now I'm bumpin' that Anthem hard!! Big Picture, Rebel(classic by the way), Identity Crisis, and Rixtape Vol. 2(shameless plug) is in the deck. "Awesome God" is my favorite worship song so when Swift put the hip-hop spin on it I went nuts! He gave us a snippet of it at Fla.vor Fest last year and I've been anticipating it since then.

KH: Yessir! I like that lineup. That song is raw! Marv and Swift built a true heater right there! What's in the oven next for you, project- wise?

GTK: Wow man I've been doing a ton of collabs here lately, but I've been in prayer over the past couple of months about what direction to go in with this next project. Recently I was led to 1 Corinthians 9:22 about how to approach it. I feel that as Christian artist we have to have the mindset of reaching ALL. If we can go the streets physically we should be able to go the streets musically...without compromising the gospel! So now I'm searching for monstrous beats, writing, and just really taking my time with this one.

KH: Amen, bring that application of the Word to the masses. Something tells me there will be no sophomore slump from Mr. Grow The Kingdom!

GTK: (Laughs) No sir, not if my God has anything to say about it!

KH: Already!

GTK: Yeah, I'm excited about it. I'm looking forward to seeing what God has in store!

KH: As we sum this interview up, do you have anything that you want to just speak on from the heart?

GTK: Selflessness. I've been praying lately and asking God to show me how to only see hearts and see past that initial perception. Once we realize that it's not about us, this Christian walk will become a lot easier. Another thing is living life to the fullest, John 10:10. Being a Christian isn't about what we can't do but what we can do. Sometimes we limit ourselves by creating this "list" and end up not enjoying the rest of the time we have here on earth. I don't believe it was meant to be that way. Of course I'm not surprised about how I'm perceived by the world but I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest...and you should too!

KH: Real talk, so much freedom in Christ! Let the Spirit guide and we’ll enjoy all that He has for us in this finite life. Was there anything that you want the readers to stand in prayer with you about?

GTK: Absolutely, be in prayer for boldness and never losing the desire to grow and know more about the God we serve. Be in prayer with me for purity as I continue to live single and celibate. Also, just for holy hip-hop as a whole I just pray that we continue to support and pray for our community.

KH: For certain, I'm sure many will add that to their prayer list. As we close it out, I wanna open it up one last time. Let's do this Stop Six, Pleasant Grove, South Dallas, and East Ft. Worth style....(laugh).... any shoutouts?

GTK: Oh yeah!! That's half of 'em right there (laugh)! Shoutouts to all the hoods here in the DFW, Oak Cliff, Funkytown, The Grove, Cedar Hill and all cities in between. Shoutouts to my close brothers in the faith, B. Holy, Big Nick (412 album coming soon), Paul "Explicit" Santos, Bigg Saint, Trust, LaToria, P.O.K., Heata, Big Gent (hottest producer outta Ft. Worth), Con10derz, Lady Fuego, Serenity, and all DFW Christian artist!! Get at me www.twitter.com/g_t_k, www.myspace.com/growthekingdom, and www.facebook/growthekingdom. Awredy!!!

KH: Yezzirrr! Thanks for taking sometime and pushing thru post- concert fatigue to chop it up with us. May the Lord continue to keep you as you serve Him. Once again, Dasouth appreciates you!

GTK: Thank you guys so much! Dasouth is what that is!

B.Holy's "Open Heart Surgery Mixtape" Coming Soon

Running in the race right alongside his brothers GTK and Big Nick is B.Holy. With an album already under his belt ("Attached To The Vine",dropped May 2009), B.Holy is now currently working on his first mixtape entitled "Open Heart Surgery" hosted by none other than DJ VOW. The name came about as he was writing the title track and began to open up about his childhood, not knowing that with each line completed, he was being operated on and emotionally healed by GOD. "Open Heart Surgery" will be sure to be pleasing to the ears with a collage of some of todays hottest tracks from mainstream and underground producers. Before his move from Dallas,TX to Newport News,VA, GOD began it seemed to cause B.Holy to go on a writing frenzy. Not necessarily wanting to start on his next project, B.Holy decided to do a mixtape being also influenced by his move to the east coast. Get to know B.Holy a little deeper on this new mixtape. The release date and free download will be posted soon.

Big Nicks "New Life" Album Out Now!

When I think of my man Big Nick, I think about someone who has a passion to see the streets of Oakcliff,TX (Dallas) change for the glory of GOD. As someone who has walked close with this young man, I have had the pleasure of seeing firsthand a person whose heart goes out to the lost in his city. His freshman album "Not Alone" I dubbed the Holy Hip Hop Hood classic. I mean the beats and his down south tone most definitely makes you feel like hoppin' in the slab and taking a cruise. He has an ability to marry the Word of God with a sound that dudes on the block aren't ashamed to listen to....I know...I've seen it with my own two eyes. His sophomore album "New Life" is no disappointment either. You can see the growth in his lyricism and music selection. Again he teamed up with his bros GTK and B.Holy as well as new comers Nu Kreation and Brendon Edwards. This album is a nice blend of Hip Hop, Rock and Worship as he displays what it sounds like to have "New Life".

Retro Hi-Tops are back

Hot on the heels ( ) of yesterday’s footwear trend comes another big one for men’s fashion footwear this season. It seems that Retro Hi-Tops are back and looking as good as they ever have. I am not talking about the thin canvas Converse or Superga trainers right now, but the thick, full bodied, real men’s versions that were rocked back in the 90’s. More and more of the fashion conscious men I know are really into these right now, and I think it is a great look for any casual outfit.

I remember the days of me rolling round in my first pair of Reebok pumps, and later my Nike Air Force One’s. This is the type of trainer we are going to throwback to – something with a bit more substance and shape to them. The thicker versions are perfect for this season’s military or worker wear (check shirts etc.) looks and I think they add a lot of balance to outfits that incorporate skinny or slim fit jeans.

Remember you don’t necessarily have to go completely retro to get into the trend, you are just looking for something more substantial – a bit like a military or worker leather boot would be. Some people have understated style and so will be looking for classic colours as well. A mix would be great if you have the funds.

This time you will ideally look for retro styling – bold colour ways, old school classic trainer shapes, traditional brands like Nike/Adidas and even metallic materials. These will look great with any casual outfit and add some flair to it. You can wear them with worker/comfort jeans in order to keep width to the bottom half of your outfits or tuck your skinny jeans into them and leave them undone in order to balance out your bottom half.

In the end nearly everyone I know loves to buy a great pair of trainers, so get on board and add some retro styling to what is fast becoming this season’s must have casual shoe! Here are some of the best around right now.

Men’s Retro Hi-Tops
Urban Outfitters
Usually stock the more funky collection pieces from each brand so it’s a good place to start. Not many bright colour ways at the moment but some good examples of thicker hi-tops that would look great in your wardrobe this season.

Schuh
These have a ridiculous amount of styles and versions in at the moment. Some great styles from Nike, Adidas, Puma and Converse make the cut, but you really need to spend some time taking a look through because there are so so many and I tried to just do a good range of styles and colour ways below.

Oki-Ni High Fashion and Premium Designer Examples
High fashion has not left the trend behind either, check out some of the extraordinary versions below from Adidas, Clae, McQ, Veja and RAF Simons. When Its Ok To Offend Without Remorse by Trip Lee

Brothers and sisters, If you are like many of the people I know, you will offend people. You will offend them deeply. The offense will cause them internal distress and maybe pain that they will resent you for. But sometimes God won't be grieved by this. In fact, He'll be pleased.

Off the top of my head I can recall many times when I have offended people. Some of the time afterwards, I confessed and repented of my sin. But then there were other times when I didn't feel remorse, nor did I repent. In fact I praised God for His grace in the situation.

Hold up, before you throw away all your Reach Records CD's, and write blogs with titles like "Trip Lee Lost His Mind!" or "Christian Rapper Apostacizes!" , let me clarify what I'm talking about.

Two Kinds of Offense
[These two are not the only kinds of offense known to man, but this is the distinction I'll use in this brief discussion.]

1. Offense due to sin
If you are like me, you probably can't even begin to count the number of times you have hurt someone because of sinful words or actions. I've hurt friends, family, even strangers during my life. I've been cold to a loved one, treated strangers with partiality instead of love, as well as countless other things. But by the Lord's grace, He has worked compassion and remorse in my heart. And I strive every day not to sin against my brothers and sisters, or anyone I run into for that matter. The Biblical command is to love one another, "Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.- 1 John 4:11", and to love the world as well.

2. Offense due to commanded boldness
There is another kind of offense that is not sinful. It is evidence of grace in your life. It is obedience to the command above (1 John 4:11; John 13:34). The Bible is clear about the fact that if we stand for truth, we will offend people. The crazy thing is that it doesn't treat it like a possibility, it speaks of it as if it is a fact. And it goes as far as to say we will be hated!

In Matthew 10 the Lord Jesus says this:
"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues... you will be hated by all for my name's sake."

It is pretty rare in our country that we are flogged or injured for Jesus, but when we offend, we are indeed hated. Did you see why we he said that they would be hated though? For His name's sake. We see that Peter refers to Jesus as "a stone of stumbling and a rock of OFFENSE." The offense is the message of the Gospel, the truth of the Scriptures.

So then, this second category of offense isn't wrong at all. It's a result of preaching Jesus. This type of offense has nothing to do with the messenger, but has to do with the message. Some people are too abrasive, or condemning, or self righteous and they add offense to an already offensive message. This is what we must avoid. We are to lovingly present an offensive message to those who need to hear it. This includes Christians and non-Christians.

As a matter of fact, I have talked with some within the body who have been offended by me and my brothers hard stances on biblical truths. For some, we've hurt their feelings *[see below]*. And while I strive to speak with them lovingly and graciously, I am not apologetic. That is unless I'm shown that I've misunderstood what God said in His Word. I strive to proclaim truth boldly even if it offends man, because to shy back would be to offend God. That's the other mistake we must avoid- not standing for truth in fear of offending others.

Conclusion

I say this at the risk of someone misunderstanding and thinking that the purpose is to offend people. So I will say it clearly. THE POINT IS NOT TO OFFEND PEOPLE! DO NOT SET OUT TO OFFEND PEOPLE! YOU ARE NOT SPIRITUAL BECAUSE YOU MAKE FOLKS MAD! The point is to stand for the truth of the Scriptures fam. With that said my question is this: If you aren't offending people, what in the world are you doing with your life!!?? It sure isn't loving your neighbor as yourself. If you do stand for biblical truth, offense is inevitable. And if you aren't offending anybody it's probably because you aren't loving others as you should.

Romans 1:16, live it out fam.

Identity Crisis in stores now!

Ever since man's fall from grace in the Garden, humans have had a condition of instability that has led him to a destructible end. Satan found a way in the Garden to get Man to believe that his Identity was incomplete. Even today, God's creatures are duped into thinking that there is more to be desired in us than fellowship with the Creator. This battle will not cease until the day we see the grave.

Tedashii has taken this very battle to the studio. His album Identity Crisis, covers the various ways Christians and Non-Christian alike find significance in the things that will never satisfy their need for a true identity.

After turning heads on guest features in the last two years, T-Dot is back with his signature compelling delivery and Southern hospitality. Identity Crisis will not disappoint the hip-hop fan. The album's sonic appeal ranges from heavy baseline production to live instrumentation. I.D. Crisis has a respectable list of producers. Tedashii has enlisted the help from household regulars like: Dj Official, Tony Stone and Kdrama. You will also find some new talented producers from Houston to the United Kingdom. Regardless of your hip hop credibility Identity Crisis will engage the casual hip-hop listener with its mature approach on how we should identify ourselves on earth. Songs like "Hollywood" deconstruct the lies that programmed culture pushes on us through the big screen. He challenges Christians to understand their position in Christ along with label mate Trip Lee on the song, "I'm A Believer".

The album has many solid features from Lecrae, Flame, Sho Baraka and others. Tdot gives his supporters the faithful sound that has challenged them since his first solo appearance on, "In Ya Hood", off the 116 Compilation.

No matter how you curb your musical affinity, Tedashii gives the listener a sincere look into the struggles of a man who knows the Father has a lot of work left to do in him.

Brazil seeks cause of massive blackout

SAO PAULO (AFP) – Brazil on Wednesday sought to uncover the cause of a massive and mysterious blackout overnight, amid concerns of energy supply stability for the 2016 Olympic host nation.

The outage, which hit at 10:15 pm Tuesday (0015 GMT Wednesday) and lasted four to six hours, plunged nearly half the country into darkness.

An estimated 50 million people -- more than a quarter of Brazil's 190-million-strong population -- were affected, mainly in the major cities in the southern part of the country, including Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Off-duty police were called up as thousands were trapped in immobile elevators and subway trains. Cars were forced to nose through intersections made dangerous by suddenly extinguished traffic lights. Some cafes closed out of fear of a nocturnal crime wave.

Power was mostly returned before dawn, though several areas remained without energy, including nearly a quarter of the state of Minas Gerais, according to Globo television news.

Blame for the emergency was leveled at the Itaipu hydro-electric station that straddles the border between Brazil and Paraguay and supplies both countries with much of their energy needs.

Brazilian Energy Minister Edson Lobao said the problem originated there, possibly because a storm shorted out one of its five transmission lines.

Paraguay, which gets 90 percent of its power from the huge plant, was left in the dark for 15 minutes during the outage.

But Furnas, Brazil's state-owned electricity company responsible for the affected area, said in a statement on Wednesday that it found no problem with the facility's lines.

"Furnas's transmission lines that link the Itaipu plant to the national interlinked grid are operating normally and no damage has been identified in its circuits and transmission towers," it said.

It said that the National Electric Grid Operator "is seeking the causes of the blackout," adding: "Any diagnostic at this time is purely speculative."

The head of the Itaipu facility, Jorge Miguel Samek, told Globo he also believed a storm was likely behind the cut in power from the second-biggest hydro-electric plant in the world.

An energy ministry spokesman told AFP three of the plant's transmission lines failed during the emergency.

Despite Furnas's statement, the ministry's secretary, Marcio Zimmerman, speculated that an unspecified "adverse meteorological condition" set off a "domino effect" through the grid.

Itaipu has an output of 14,000 megawatts, which supplies 20 percent of the energy needs of Brazil, Latin America's most economically active nation. All of that was off-line overnight.

The blackout occurred two nights after the US television network CBS broadcast a report in which unidentified former US national security officials claimed massive power outages in Brazil in 2005 and 2007 were caused by cyber hackers attacking control systems.

Although Brazilian media were skeptical of that assessment, the US channel said those incidents should serve as a wake-up call to the United States, which could see its own power supplies hit by computer sabotage.

Brazil's energy ministry was to hold an urgent meeting later Wednesday with all the country's grid operators to determine the exact causes of the outage and what can be down to prevent a repetition.

Authorities are especially concerned about the damage that might be done to Brazil's reputation ahead of Rio hosting the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2014 football World Cup.

The city, which is already struggling with rampant crime, was the worst-affected by the power cut, according to electricity grid officials.

Did Army Give Hasan a Pass Over Muslim Religion?

By MARK THOMPSON / WASHINGTON Mark Thompson / Washington – Tue Nov 10, 4:50 pm ET
As officials continue to investigate the alleged Fort Hood killer, it is looking increasingly likely that the Army missed several red flags in Major Nidal Malik Hasan's behavior. Many observers say it wouldn't be surprising if such signals had been missed, given that Hasan was a psychiatrist whom the Army desperately needed to help tend to the mental wounds of two wars. But at the same time, some members of the military are quietly discussing the more troubling possibility that the Army looked the other way precisely because Hasan was Muslim. (See pictures of the Fort Hood shootings.)

Army officials strongly deny any suggestion that Hasan's religion resulted in his being given special treatment. But one officer who attended the Pentagon's medical school with Hasan disagrees. "He was very vocal about being a Muslim first and holding Shari'a law above the Constitution," this officer recalls. When fellow students asked, "How can you be an officer and hold to the Constitution?," the officer says, Hasan would "get visibly upset - sweaty and nervous - and had no good answers." This medical doctor would speak only anonymously because his commanders have ordered him not to talk about Hasan, he says.

This officer says he was so surprised when Hasan gave a talk about "the war on terror being a war on Islam" that he asked the lieutenant colonel running the course what Hasan's presentation had to do with health care. "I raised my hand and asked, 'Why are you letting this go on - this has nothing to do with environmental health.' The course director said, 'I'm just going to let him go.' " The topic of Hasan's presentation, the officer says, had been approved in advance by the lieutenant colonel.

The officer says he and a colleague complained to staff at the Uniformed University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., but got nowhere: "It was a systemic problem - the same thing was happening at Walter Reed," the Army medical center several miles away, where Hasan was working as a psychiatrist. (The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Hasan gave a similar presentation at Walter Reed in which he said Muslims should be released as conscientious objectors rather than forced into combat against fellow Muslims.) But "political correctness" inside the military, the officer asserts, insulated Hasan. "People are afraid to come forward and challenge somebody's ideology," he says, "because they're afraid of getting an equal-opportunity complaint that can end careers."

A retired four-star officer says that, on the basis of the evidence gleaned so far, it was Hasan's career that should have been cut short. "They could have given him a dishonorable discharge and said what he's doing works against good order and discipline," says the general, who also requested anonymity. But rather than it being a matter of giving preferential treatment to Hasan because of his religion, "my guess is he fell through the cracks," the general says.

Whether he fell through the cracks or was cut slack because of concerns about appearing to impinge on his religious freedom will be a focus of the investigations under way. "The Army was just under such pressure that they planned to send him to Afghanistan," says Lawrence Korb, Pentagon personnel chief during the Reagan Administration. But Korb says he's perplexed by reports that Hasan received poor evaluations and still got promoted. "That tells me the Army didn't do its job," he says - though he attributes that to the unrelenting demand to keep mental-health professionals on duty rather than to Hasan's religion.

But Ralph Peters, a retired Army lieutenant colonel who now writes military books and a newspaper column, contends that Hasan's religion protected him from punitive action by the Army, a view shared privately by many in uniform. While stressing "there shouldn't be witch hunts" against Muslims in uniform, Peters insists "this guy got a pass because he was a Muslim, despite the Army's claim that everybody's green and we're all the same."

Congress is already beginning to look into why an Army psychiatrist who reportedly had to be counseled against sharing his antiwar views with soldiers back from combat could have possibly been promoted in May. Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, said on Monday that he will hold a hearing next week to see "whether the government missed warning signs that should have led to [Hasan's] expulsion" before he killed 13 people on the Texas post last Thursday. Hasan's former classmate, for one, says he wasn't surprised to see Hasan's face flash across his television screen. "After the shock," he says, "the first thing that went through my mind was, Hey, I remember everything this guy said."

Is Beyonce Satanic?
November 6, 2009 by Kay C

Beyonce has been causing more of a stir than usual lately while on her “I AM..” tour. She’s about to hit the stage in Egypt tonight, and the religious leaders are not at all pleased, labelling her show as little more than an “insolent sex party”. The Muslim leaders furiously accuse the government of that country of “trying to make people indulge in sin and licentiousness to cover up the other crimes it is committing against them”, as well as ” disturbing social peace and stability, encouraging vice and debauchery”. Hmmm.

In defense of her wardrobe choices and performances on stage, Beyonce once told Sky News that not only is she a devout Christian, but that “she has permission from God to wear sexy clothes and strip on stage but not to have a girl-on-girl snog. … She says: “I always carry myself like a lady. I don’t feel like I ever do anything raunchy.” And she adds: “It’s entertainment and I believe God is OK with that.” Hmmm. Again.

Interestingly enough, upon further digging, some Christians also share the sentiments voiced by the Muslim leaders in Egypt, as well as those in Malaysia, where Beyonce was forced to recently cancel a much anticipated concert.

Read the following criticism levied by the webmaster of the site Jesus-Is-Savior.com. This Christian has some choice words for the singer and her behavior which she claims is all in the name of showbiz. Is he being too harsh? Or does he have a point? While we won’t point fingers and label Beyonce a ‘harlot’, it is a thought provoking issue that perhaps she is guilty of wearing a harlot’s ‘uniform’. Hmmm. Times three……

From Jesus-Is-Savior.com:

The Word of God states in 1st Timothy 2:9, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array.” Jesus warned in Matthew 5:28, “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” We read in Proverbs 7:10,27 concerning the whorish woman… “And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart … Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.”

The Bible is filled with such guidelines and warnings concerning the clothing a woman wears. Proverb 7:10 speaks of the “attire of a harlot.” A “harlot” is a prostitute. There is a type of clothing that identifies a woman as a whore!!! Therefore, Biblically, Beyonce Knowles is a whore! If certain clothing identifies a woman as a harlot, then what would complete nakedness constitute? A triple whore? The above Scriptures establish the FACT that God does NOT approve of immodest clothing (i.e., clothing which makes it easy for men to lust). A godly woman dresses in such a way that it is difficult for a man to lust after her. He can try to think dirty; but she is not giving him anything to visualize.

God does NOT permit sexy clothes in public or stripping! God does NOT approve of a sleazy whorish woman like Beyonce deliberately causing lasciviousness in the hearts of others. Beyonce is NO Christian. She is Satanic, serving the Devil! The only acceptable thing to God is the MARRIAGE, “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Beyonce is causing tens-of-millions of men to commit adultery with her in their sinful hearts, and she is making it happen by her whorish attire and stripping. She is making it happen by her whorish gestures, sensuality, and gyrations. Beyonce is a fool for having the arrogant audacity to blame God for her wickedness. It is shameful! She is sinfully proud. Beyonce has blasphemed God to even suggest that God would permit lasciviousness, lust, immodest clothing, stripping, and public nudity. This is just another clear indicator of the apostasy in America! As a nation, we have forsaken God.

You be the judge. Should we be worried about Beyonce, and/or by extension our own salvation?
